International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP)
The IB Diploma stands for the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme, which is equivalent to Singapore A-Level. Students at international schools in Singapore can take the IB Diploma examination after completing high school. Students can apply to Singaporean universities based on their IB Diploma results, which are recognized by countries worldwide and can be used to apply directly to the first year of undergraduate courses at universities in the UK, Australia, and New Zealand.
The IB program is divided into the following levels:
IB PYP: The PYP, or Primary Years Program, is designed for elementary school students, equivalent to grades 1-5 in China. This program focuses on student-centered education to foster compassionate and actively engaged lifelong learners.

IB MYP: The MYP, or Middle Years Program, is designed for middle school students, equivalent to grades 6 to 10 in China. This program offers a challenging framework that encourages students to establish practical connections between their learning and the real world. It is designed to be inclusive, benefiting students of all interests and academic abilities.

IB DP: The DP, or Diploma Program, is an advanced course within the IB curriculum suitable for students in their final years of high school. It serves as a university preparatory program. The program aims to develop students with outstanding breadth and depth of knowledge and flourishing in physical, intellectual, emotional, and ethical aspects.
Content of IB DP High School Curriculum:

- Language B (Modern Language other than Mother Tongue)

Three Core Elements:
- Theory of Knowledge

Assessment Method: Global standardized exams held in May and November, with exam papers planned and marked directly by the IB headquarters.
Scoring Criteria: IB has its own scoring system, with 45 being the highest score. Obtaining scores between 36 and 38 qualifies students to apply to Cambridge University (usually requiring 40-41), while students applying to Ivy League universities typically need scores of 40 or above, and Oxford requires scores of 42 or higher.
Application Scope: With A-Level course results, students can apply to universities in the UK and other countries such as the US, Australia, and others. If students achieve IB course results, they can not only apply to UK universities but also to universities in over 100 countries worldwide, including the US, Canada, Australia, and more.
